future thought leader scholarship program

Each year 2 future thought leaders are awarded the SUAS Future Leader Scholarship that is intended to grant unique insight into executive collaboration at the highest levels of Canada's companion animal industry.
These scholarships are both valued at up to $1,500:
· Up to $760 for the Summit registration fee (includes meals and accommodation)
· Up to $740 in travel subsidy
merit criteria
To be eligible for this award:
· The nominee may not be an existing Alumnus of the SUAS
· The nominee must be a permanent full-time employee of an organization in the companion animal industry and have at least five years of work experience or a degree/certificate in a related discipline
· The nominee must demonstrate leadership skills in the companion animal industry and a specific interest in urban animal strategies
· The nominee must show evidence of a career path aimed toward a leadership position
· The nominee must be nominated by a current SUAS Alumnus in good standing
The deadline for application is 31 August each year. The award winners are notified by 15 September each year.
